About the Preservation Project Calculator
Welcome to the Preservation project cost calculator. Over seven pages we will guide you through a simplified but useful analysis of your requirements for preservation and digital storage of your archive, including a cost breakdown.
About this page
On this initial page we will set up the project. Name your project in the top text box to the left, and use the inputs below to add each section of the collection you want to include in the project. For example, you may have a section on 1950's sports. Sections should be homogeneous- that is to say they should be all on the same sort of carrier, and in a generally similar condition.
If you are returning to this tool and have a saved project you would like to load and re-analyse, please use the 'Load Project' function below.
